Massive Events presents: The Hub 7 to celebrate the hit UK television series "Torchwood". The event will be held from Friday 25th - Sunday 27th of November 2011 at The Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow.

This unofficial convention aims to bring together fans of the series from across the country to meet some the show's stars and enjoy various events over the weekend. There will be activities each day from guest talks and photograph sessions to quizzes and late night parties.

Registration will begin at 2pm and the Opening Ceremony will be at 7pm on the Friday evening!

The hotel is located next door to London's Heathrow Airport and transfers from the airport to the hotel are available in the form of the Hoppa Bus, a service that runs a direct bus from Terminals 1,2,3 and 5 to the hotel reception, or alternatively local buses that run free of charge from the terminals to the hotel (for more information see below). Or for those who prefer it follow the signs within the aiport to the taxi rank and get a taxi to the hotel, it's not too far.away.

Anyone travelling to this event by bus, coach, train or subway should make their journey to Heathrow Airport and then use one of the aforementioned services to get to the hotel. All major coach and rail services travel to Heathrow Airport.

Check the National Express Website for buses leaving from your home town. But buses travel into Heathrow from all over the country.

If you are flying into another airport within the UK there are buses and trains that run from these airports into Heathrow airport when you can then get a bus to the hotel.

There is a bus service called "The Hoppa Bus" that operates in the Heathrow area taking people from the airport to various hotels nearby. This service runs from all of the Heathrow terminals including the new Terminal 5 (which has a separate bus service). If you are arriving into Terminal 4 you can get the Heathrow Connect train that is free of charge to the main Terminals (1, 2 and 3) where you can get the Hoppa Bus, the train comes approximately every 15 minutes.

This bus takes you directly into the hotel car park and drops you off right outside reception. This is where you will get back onto the bus to return to the airport.

The Hoppa Bus costs £4 for a single fare, £0.50 for a child aged 3-15, and children under 3 are free. You can pay for your tickets on the bus itself (the driver will give you change), but tickets can also be purchased from machines at the airport which will also take debit & credit cards.

Aside from the Hoppa Bus service that runs, you can also use the local buses. Travelling from the main airport terminals to the Radisson Edwardian is free since BAA subsidises the local buses - they are free for anyone getting on at the terminal and off on one of the perimeter roads. These buses also travel into town and these fares can be around £2.

Simply follow the signs within the airport terminals to the buses.

Route Map From M4 Motorway (West) to The Thistle London Heathrow

  • Leave the M4 at Langley Roundabout and take the exit onto the A4 (signposted Hounslow, Colnbrook)

  • Travel 0.62 miles and then: Take left hand lane and continue forward onto the A4 (signposted Heathrow Airport, Hounslow, Poyle)
  • Travel 2.55 miles and then: Turn right onto the A3044
  • Travel 0.01 miles and then: At traffic signals turn right onto the A4 (signposted Heathrow T4, Slough, Staines)
  • Travel 0.12 miles and then: Turn left onto Bath Road
