Joe Manganiello previously appeared in 7 episodes of True Blood's third season and is set to reprise his role as "Alcide Herveaux" as a regular actor as of season four. Alcide, being a werewolf, was hired to protect Sookie while she followed a lead to find Bill. Alcide was roped in through Eric in order to repay a family debt. He is dealing with his own issues as he uncovers his ex's new partner Coot is working with vampires and drinking their blood. Manganiello may also be recognisable for his recurring roles as 'Owen Morello' on "One Tree Hill" for 13 episodes and 'Brad' in "How I Met Your Mother". He also played 'Flash Thompson' in "Spider-Man" (2002), Mary Jane's boyfriend and bully to Peter Parker - a role that he revised in 2007's "Spider-Man 3". Marshall Allman is a main cast character on True Blood throughout seasons 3 and 4 playing "Tommy Mickens". Tommy enters the series as Sam Merlotte's unknown brother who works at a garage before uprooting and following his family to Bon Temps. Tommy soon relies on Sam to get him out of the life he is stuck with due to their parents and moves into a home provided by Sam and a job at Merlottes. However, the relationship between the brothers remains strained due to his constant misteps. Allman may be recognised for his role on the hit drama "Prison Break" as 'LJ Burrows' throughout the series' first two seasons. His film credits meanwhile include Bruce Willis flick "Hostage" and a role in 2008's "Fragments". He has also made guest appearances on numerous TV series including "Mad Men", "Life", "Eli Stone", "Grey's Anatomy", "Ghost Whisperer" and "CSI". Grant Bowler took on the role of "Cooter" as a recurring guest star for seven episodes of season three. Cooter, a werewolf, ran the pack but came under the orders of the vampire king Russell Edgington forcing his wolves to do the dirty work for the vampires. After Cooter stole Alcide's girlfriend Debbie the two became enemies, which only worsened after Alcide discovered what Cooter had done to the pack. Bowler previously had a starring role as 'Wolfgang West' on the New Zealand drama "Outrageous Fortune" for 54 episodes. He has also had a number of recurring roles in series including the part of 'Connor Owens' in 17 episodes of "Ugly Betty" and 'Captain Gault' in 3 episodes of "Lost".
